THE ANAHEIM DUCKS IDENTITY

The re-branding of the Ducks identity was a true collaborative effort with the Ducks ownership and management group. It was unanimously decided that we would not simply reinvent Disney’s concept of an aggressive duck character, but instead, we would work with the shortened name “Anaheim Ducks” and focus on creating an overall image that expressed excitement, speed on the ice and a competitive edge. The result is a strong, typographic mark anchored by a stylized “D” that echoes the image of duck’s foot or footprint.
